A new song adding method and an apparatus thereof using a portable USB storage device and an Internet network are provided to prevent a person with an impure intention such as hacking from randomly copying new song data by hacking without cost payment, by storing the data in a portable USB(Universal Serial Bus) storage device that offers an access control function. A manager ID and a password are inputted to authenticate a user(S200). A portable USB storage device is connected to a USB port of a client device(S300). A payment function screen is displayed, so that the user is able to settle accounts of a cost(S400). New song data is downloaded to the portable USB storage device(S500). It is confirmed whether the same intrinsic identification code corresponding to an intrinsic identification code of a karaoke machine is registered in the portable USB storage device(S600). If so, the new song data is stored in a memory chip or a hard disk of the karaoke machine(S700). |
