<p>Improved fluidized bed filters are described and claimed. The filters are exemplified for use in aquarium systems. A preferred embodiment of the filter of the subject invention comprises a cylinder having an inlet port. Water is pumped into the inlet port. The force of the water fluidizes the filter medium within the cylinder. Filtered water escapes the system over the open end of the cylinder or through an outlet channel.</p> |
