PURPOSE:To obtain printing matters that are higher in quality and more excellent in legibility than those printed by conventional method by a method wherein printing pattern data are produced with justification applied, and a printing apparatus is operated on such printing pattern data. CONSTITUTION:In the case where the number of characters in a line concerned is smaller by one character than the number for one line in document control information 64-1, judgement is made to discern whether or not a character 62 that comes first in the next line is a character that may not be last in a line, with reference made to interdiction information 63-1. Then, adjustment is made to character pictches only when the character concerned subjects to interdiction, and printing pattern data 66 for one line is produced by widening the character pitched with dot unreashing the line-end adjusted. Namely, character pitches sent from the character pattern data 65 through character pattern address 63-3 are widened with reference made to adjustment information 63-2 for each of the character. Then, justification is made with the adjustment made to character pictches, and thereby the printing pattern data 66 for one line are produced. |
