<p>A multilayer repair painting process comprises: (a) applying an unpigmented or colourless pigmented transparent clear-coat onto a predried or hardened colour- and/or effect- producing base coat; or (b) applying a pigmented topcoat on an optionally precoated substrate. The clear coat or topcoat is based on binders which are hardened solely by radical and/or cationic polymerisation, and is hardened by pulsed high-energy ultraviolet radiation.</p>
