Co-ordinates of the place of explosion are determined by means of two devices for finding explosion co-ordinates in combination with a chronoscope system, trigonometric method using a known distance between the devices for finding explosion co-ordinates and measured triangle angles, which triangle includes said devices for finding explosion co-ordinates and the place of explosion. Shell fly time is defined on the basis of data variations between chronoscope units of the devices for finding explosion co-ordinates and a chronoscope apparatus which registers time of a reference shoot from a firing spot.
