PURPOSE:To obtain a lining material superior in dimensional stability, by a method wherein a large number of threads are arranged on nonwoven fabric in a cylindrical state in a longitudinal direction, while cylindrical nonwoven fabric is formed dy joining the thread to the nonwoven fabric with a needle punch and an airtight or watertight coating comprised of rubber or synthetic resin is formed on the outside of the cylindrical nonwoven fabric. CONSTITUTION:A large number of threads 3 extending in a longitudinal direction are arranged on the outside of nonwoven fabric 2 formed in a cylindrical state and the threads are joined to the surface of the nonwoven fabric 2 with a needle punch. Needle punching is performed by piercing through the nonwoven fabric 2 and threads 3 and the threads 3 are joined firmly to the nonwoven fabric 2. As the airtight or watertight coating 4 comprised of rubber or synthetic resin is formed on the outside of the cylindrical nonwoven fabric 1 formed like this, the title lining material is strong and a phenomenon where the same is extended largely by an external force is eliminated. |
