Recombinant polypeptide showing enhanced immunogenicity, comprising a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI) structure, is claimed. Also claimed are: (1) recombinant DNA vector for expressing the recombinant polypeptide, comprising a DNA sequence encoding the polypeptide operatively linked to a downstream glycolipid anchor addn. sequence, suitable transcription initiation and termination sequences and opt. a leader peptide sequence; and (2) recombinant host cell (pref. Dictyostelium discoideum) comprising the recombinant DNA vector.
