A fastening tape comprises an interlocking material 18, part of a hook-and-loop fastener, attached to a first substrate with both thermal and adhesive bonds 25,26. The first substrate can be fastened to a second substrate 20 by an adhesive layer 24 and thermal bonds 25, the substrates being constructed from thermoplastic or thermosetting films. The tape is manufactured by joining a continuous lengths of interlocking material (28, Fig 4) and substrate (32, Fig 4) in a first direction with both thermal and adhesive bonds 25,26 and then cutting the composite in a second direction. |
