PURPOSE:To permit to simply drive a voltage control type flash discharge radiation control switching element by installing a LC oscillation circuit which is oscillated simultaneously with the entry of a start-up command into a trigger circuit and a clamping circuit which regulates the oscillating voltage outputted from the LC oscillation circuit in the title apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A switching element Q2 which controls the radiating action of a flash discharge tube X is formed of a voltage control type element, for instance, an insulated bipolar transistor. The action of a trigger circuit TC is controlled by a switching element SRC. oscillating voltage outputted form a LC oscillation circuit formed of the primary-side coil of a trigger transformer T and a trigger capacitor C2 is clamped by a clamping circuit CC to be impressed upon the control terminal of the switching element Q2. The clamping circuit CC clamps the oscillating output voltage to a specified voltage via a capacitor C3 and a Zener diode, both incorporated therein. This procedure makes it possible to simply generate voltage for driving the voltage control type switching element. |
