FIELD: chemistry, biochemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of biotechnology, namely to bacteriochlorophyll derivatives and can be used for medical and diagnostic purposes. Anion-containing water-soluble tetracyclic and pentacyclic bacteriochlorophyll (Bchl) derivatives contain one, two or three negatively charged groups and/or acid groups, which transform into negatively charged groups at physiological pH.
