Enhancing the adhesion between asphalt and aggregate in anionic bituminous emulsions comprises adding a composition comprising polyamidoamine condensation reaction products of: (1) 50-80 wt.% of a mixture comprising 80-1 wt.% of monomeric tall oil fatty acid and 20-99 wt.% of polymerised linoleic acid; with (2) 50-20 wt.% of polyalkylene polyamine; and (3) =10 wt.% of p-formaldehyde.
