<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control developing behavior of an air bag by devising the opening pattern of opening parts of a diffuse, in an air bag device where the air bag, an inflator, and the diffuser are housed in a case. SOLUTION: Plural opening parts 26 for introducing gas generated by an inflator 16 into an air bag 14 are formed in a diffuser 18 covering the cylindrical inflator 16. The plural opening parts 26 are arranged so that the opening area of a region Q opposite to the occupant side of the diffuser 18 is larger than that of an occupant side region P. Thus, when the air bag is developed, gas is preferentially introduced to the upper side 14a of the air bag to develop the upper side 14a, and then soon to develop the lower side 14b.</p> |
