An electronic device and a touch screen having discrete touch-sensitive areas are provided to recognize multi-touch points on a touch screen display. A touch sensing type overlay(34) is arranges on a display device(32), and particularly is arranged on a substrate. The first and second capacity touch sensor circuit layers are included in an external touch surface of the touch sensing overlay. The first and second capacity touch sensor circuit layers are patterned with circuits that provide the related touch sensible regions. First and second capacity touch sensor circuit layers are patterned with a circuit providing the related individual touch sensible regions, and at least some circuits are arranged to be provided by each single circuit of individual sensible touch circuits.
