PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a balloon from being slackened at the time of insertion to a blood vessel or the like and to prevent the flexibility of a catheter from being damaged. SOLUTION: This balloon catheter 1 is provided with an expansion part 20 composed by extending a part of an outer side tube 4 into the balloon 2 on the distal end part of the outer side tube 4 and an inner side tube is fixed to the expansion part 20 by an adhesive material. At the time of inserting the balloon catheter 1 into the blood vessel, even when resistance force is applied to a tip 8 or the like, the inner side tube 6 is not pushed back inside the outer side tube 4 and the balloon 2 is not slackened. Also, since the expansion part 20 is provided with the flexibility capable of being flexibly elastically deformed and bent along with the inner side tube 6, in the case that the outer side tube 4 and the inner side tube 6 are bent near the expansion part 20, the rapid bend of the inner side tube 6 is prevented by the deflection of the expansion part 20. |
