PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flexibility in a V-groove design direction and to improve the feel to put on by using PVC leather with V-groove designs as eyelet lining reinforcement cloth. SOLUTION: An eyelet reinforcement material is prepd. by passing the PVC leather 2 formed by sticking and laminating PVC 8 having about 0.2mm thickness to the surface of a fabric 7 having about 0.2mm thickness through calender rolls having a design roll formed with the V-groove designs 3 of, for example, a depth of 0.2mm×pitch of 1mm and applying the V-groove design 3 to the PVC leather 2. The eyelet lining reinforcement cloth 1 is formed by cutting this eyelet reinforcement material to the shape of the eyelet lining reinforcement cloth. The eyelet lining reinforcement cloth 1 is temporally adhered by an adhesive to the upper rear in the front instep apertures of the uppers. Eyelet fittings are placed on the surfaces of the front instep apertures. The eyelet fitting and the eyelet lining reinforcement cloth 1 are stitched to the front instep apertures. After the eyelet fitting and eyelet lining reinforcement cloth 1 are stitched to the uppers, the mouths are roughly stitched. The roughly stitched mouths are stuck to the inner side of the uppers while urethane pads are curled. Eyelets are driven to the eyelet fittings by using an eyeletting machine.
