摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gel electrolyte with a high strength by impregnating a porous molded item made from a specific cross-linked polymer with an electrolyte soln. at a temp. at which the item is not swelled, removing the excess of the soln., and heating the item. SOLUTION: A soln. of a polymer (e.g. polyacrylonitrile) swellable with an electrolyte soln. in a solvent (e.g. dimethyl sulfoxide) is cast at room temp. on a glass plate to form an about 100μm-thick liq. film. The film is immersed in water, washed with water and an alcohol, and dried to give a 1-500μm-thick porous sheet having a porosity of 40-95%. The sheet is cross-linked by the exposure to an electron beam and immersed in a nonaq. soln. mixture (e.g. an ethylene carbonate-propylene carbonate mixture contg. the cation of LiBF4 , etc.) for about 30min to give a transparent sheet impregnated with the soln. After the excess of the soln. is removed by wiping from the surface of the transparent sheet, it is kept at about 100 deg.C for about 1hr and cooled to room temp., thus giving a transparent gel electrolyte having high strengths.
