The invention relates to a zirconium alloy containing erbium as consumable neutronic poison, wherein said alloy contains, in weight: 3 to 12 % of erbium; 0.005 to 5 % of additional elements such as additives and/or manufacturing impurities; the balance consisting of zirconium. The invention also relates to a structural part containing such a zirconium alloy, and to methods for manufacturing and shaping the zirconium alloy by sintering or fusion.
