A dielectric composition for high frequencies, which comprises a ceramic component comprising Srx(Ni1/3Nb2/3)yO3 (x/y=0.96-1.06), a ceramic component comprising Srx(Ni1/3Nb2/3)yO3 (x/y=0.96-1.06) as the main constituent and one or more minor constituents which are selected from the group consisting of TiO2, SrTiO3 and CaTiO3 (TiO2</=25% by mole, SrTiO3</=6.5% by mole, and CaTiO3</=13.3% by mole), or a ceramic component comprising Srx(Ni1/3Nb2/3)yO3 (x/y=0.96-1.06) and Ba(MII1/3Mv2/3)O3 (MII is Ni, Mg or Zn, and Mv is Nb or Ta, provided that MII=Ni, Mg or zn when Mv=Nb, and MII=Mg or Zn when Mv=Ta) , and 0.1-50% by weight of glass added to the ceramic component.
