PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to simultaneously extrude a balloon which is extremely tough, is highly resistant to pressure and wear and is usable to multiple purposes by using polyethylene terephthalate for an internal pressure resistant layer and polyamide for an external protective layer. SOLUTION: The balloon 12 in an inflated state has a cylindrical shape and its both ends are coupled in the state of hermetic closing the tube 14 of the dilation catheter 10. A lumen 18 opens into the balloon 12 and, therefore, the balloon 12 may be expanded by charging a pressure liquid into the lumen 18. The balloon 12 comprises an outside layer 20 consisting of the polyamide material and an inside layer 22 consisting of the polyethylene terephthalate material. The inside layer 22 forms the pressure resistant layer to determine the stability to the rupture of the balloon 12. The balloon 12 is designed to definitely withstand the pressure used for a test when the balloon 12 expands. The outside layer 20 forms the protective layer to protect the inside layer 22 to the damage during handling to entail the embrittlement of the inside layer 22. |
