PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet for ink jet recording with outstanding coloring properties, white paper appearance and coat resistance to water. SOLUTION: In this sheet for ink jet recording consisting of a film sheet on which an ink reception layer containing amorphous fine powder silica and a water polymer adhesive is formed, an undercoat layer containing a polymer adhesive with a glass transition temperature of 50 deg.C or less is formed between the film sheet and the ink reception layer. In addition, the undercoat layer contains inorganic pigment which should preferably have an oil absorption of 250ml/100g based on the JIS K-5101. |
