PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact applied to the head of an occupant when the frontal bone of the occupant strikes an air bag door part of an instrument panel due to a sudden stop or a rear-end collision of a vehicle, and smoothly open the air bag door when an air bag expands. SOLUTION: In an instrument panel which has an air bag door D1 designed to be bent to open to the front window W side, and in which the front window side end part of an air bag door-core material 41 is fixed to the front window side of the peripheral edge of an air bag-spread out opening part 22 of an instrument panel-core material 21 together with the end part of a frame body 31 arranged on the upper face of the air bag door-core material, the air bag door-core material and the frame body are extended to the front window side, and rigidity reducing openings 34, 44 are formed on both extension parts 33, 43. Further, fixing parts 35, 45 for fixing both the extension parts to the instrument panel-core material are provided on the front window side end part of both the extension parts. |
