PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gear change shock from dispersing on account of vehicle speed in such a system in which torque down control is practiced during up shift inertia phase period. SOLUTION: When up shift is instructed, firstly a throttle opening, a vehicle speed and an input shaft number of revolution Nt are read in, and input shaft number of revolutions Nt1, Nt2 before and after gear change are computed (step 210, 220) and immediately after start of gear change, inertia phase period ts is decided on the basis of the throttle opening (step 250) and a target gradient Ntard at the time of reducing transmission input shaft number of revolution during inertia phase period is calculated (step 260), and after a target input shaft number of revolution Ntr to be the reference value of feedback control is calculated (step 270, 280), torque down value Td is decided as becoming larger value in compliance with steeper grade of slant on the basis of the target gradient Ntrd (step 290). This torque down value Td is instructed to an engine controlling computer 5 (step 300). |
