PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sign erected at the roadside, and the like mainly for an automobile driver and having sufficient load-carrying capacity while keeping a streamlined design only with one beam. SOLUTION: A sign is so constituted that a beam 7 equipped with a sign section 10 is horizontally provided to the upper end of a post 1 erected on the ground. In that case, the post 1 is formed of two pipes 2, those two pipes 2 are connected to each other at a proper interval, a rectangular mounting section is formed in the upper end of the post 1 along the longitudinal direction of the beam 7, a rectangular loading section is formed in a wall on the base section side of the beam 7 along the longitudinal direction of the beam 7, and both mounting and loading sections are brought into contact with each other and are screwed to mount the post 1 and beam 7. In that case, since the mounting section on the upper end of the post 1 and the loading section on the base section of the beam 7 are formed as a rectangle longer in the moment direction of load, the pitch of a bolt used for screwing the mounting section and loading section can be enlarged, and tensile force applied to the bolt and shear force can be reduced accordingly. |
