PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a steel wire for gas shielded arc welding that reduces slippage in wire feeding rollers, in the case of welding with a soft long conduit cable used and bent, and that provides excellent wire feedability with less frictional resistance inside the conduit tube. SOLUTION: This steel wire for gas shielded arc welding is provided on its surface with one or two kinds of molybdenum disulfide or tungsten disulfide 0.05-0.40g, metallic soap 0.01-0.20g, and talc 0.05-0.60g, each per 10kg of the wire. In addition, the wire is provided with a liquid lubricant 0.01-0.15g per 10kg of the wire. |
