PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form such a mold for intermediate cast welding that provides uniform cooling conditions and a low cooling speed as much as possible to decrease inherent stress normally generating. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional area centroid of at least one feeding head 9, which is situated on one side of a vertical center plane 5, is arranged with a distance y apart, which is established in relation to the width FB of a rail leg 8, from its outer edge 11; the cross section B of at least one air passage 10, which is also positioned on one side of a vertical center plane 5, is selected in relation to the cross section A of the feeding head 9; in addition, the distance y is in the range of 0.0025FB to 0.4000FB; and B/2, one half value of the cross section B of the air passage, is in the range of 0.05A to 20.00A. |
