PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a functional biscuit-fired product having a large surface area, enhanced purification capacity and improved mechanical strength by forming a composition that consists of a base raw material and functional inorganic particles having a purification function, into a formed body, then drying the formed body and thereafter firing the dried formed body. SOLUTION: In this manufacture, functional particles having <=100nm particle size measured by an X-ray method and a purification function is blended with a base raw material which consists of at least one material selected from kaolin, clay, mica, pottery stone, agalmatolite, a feldspar, siliceous stone, silica sand, calcium carbonate, dolomite, wollastonite, talc and bone ash to obtain a composition. The resulting composition is formed into a formed body, and then, the formed body is dried and, thereafter, the dried formed body is fired to manufacture the objective biscuit-fired body. |
