A silver halide photographic material comprising a photographic material constituting layer, which is processed with a developer containing as a developing agent a reductone represented by formula (I)atom or a hydroxyl group, and n represents an integer of from 1 to 4, wherein the photographic material constituting layer contains a calcium compound in an amount of not more than 10 mg/m2 of the photographic material in terms of calcium.
