METHOD AND APPARATOUS FOR HEAT TREATING OF WASTES

The heat treatment process uses a pyrolysis chamber (2) for degassing the waste material, with the degassing products fed to a post-combustion chamber (4c) using a fluidised bed reactor supplied with oxygen. The solid material discharged from the post-combustion chamber is separated out from the flue gases via a dust trap (8), for feeding back to the post-combustion chamber, pref. after cooling in an external fluidised bed cooling stage.
