A results table (1), which can have a foldable two-part construction, is powered either by battery or mains electricity, is used to receive signals corresponding to various states of affair in the game (e.g. tiebreak, advantage and points in tennis, or goal, free kick, kick-off time and half-time in football), using either an internal receiver or several external receivers placed around the playing area in order to shorten the transmitter range. The table is divided into appropriate display segments arranged in different display fields for different types of data, in order to show changing data on the same display field, and also be capable of storing, processing and displaying results and match data at regular time intervals according to a pre-selected program. This information can also be conveyed using an internal or external module, preferably via acoustic signals, but also via lights (3), printer, magnetic code reader, microphone or loudspeaker. ELECTRONICS - PREFERRED FEATURES : Information is transmitted to the results table using remote control units (2) carried by e.g. referees, linesmen, umpires or match officials. |
