The device includes a matrix to break material down to form the required granule size. The matrices can be removed from the opening of the concrete mixer after the granules have been formed for feed of cement and water to the broken down material for further preparation of concrete. The device (1) can be provided with varying matrices (6) which allow passage to the required granular sizes to suit concrete for different purposes.
