PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition, having a low dimensional shrinkage percentage, excellent in reproducibility of a metallic mold and useful as a material for cylinders in video tape recorders by melt kneading a specific polyarylene sulfide resin with an amorphous resin, an inorganic nonoriented filler and inorganic fibers. SOLUTION: This resin composition for precise molding is obtained by melt kneading (A) a polyarylene sulfide resin having <=50Pa.s melt viscosity when measured at 310 deg.C/1,000sec<-1> shear rate with (B) an amorphous resin having >=140 deg.C glass transition temperature such as a polyphenylene ethereal resin or a polyether sulfone-based resin, (C) an inorganic nonoriented filler such as a glass fine particle having <=80μm particle size or a carbon-based inorganic nonoriented filler and (D) inorganic fibers such as carbon fiber or metallic fibers as essential components. The resultant composition is capable of providing ultraprecise molding products having a low dimensional shrinkage percentage in the flow and perpendicular directions. Furthermore, the total amount of the components A and B is preferably 20-50wt.%.
