Herbicides contain (A) at least one compound from the group of the substituted phenylsulfonyl ureas having the general formula (I) and their agriculturally acceptable salts. In the formula (I), R1 stands for C1-C8 alkyl, C3-C4 alkenyl, C3-C4 alkinyl or C1-C4 alkyl substituted one to four times by residues from the group of halogens and C1-C2 alkoxy. The herbicides also contain (B) at least one herbicidal compound from the group of the compounds that are (Ba) selective herbicides against grass growing in cereal and/or corn cultures; (Bb) selective herbicides against dicotyledons growing in cereal and/or corn cultures; (Bc) selective herbicides against grass and dicotyledons that grow in cereal and/or corn cultures; and (Bd) non-selective herbicides for non-agricultural lands and/or selective herbicides against weeds and adventitious grass that grow in transgenic cultures.
