The invention refers to a process for the preparation of alkyl-ter.butylethers and di-n-butene, in a coupled production from field butanes, wherein (a) n-butane and iso-butane contained in field 1 butanes are dehydrogenated together in a dehydrogenation stage 2, a dehydrogenation mixture 3 containing n-butene or iso-butene being obtained therefrom; (b) the mixture is taken from dehydrogenation 3 to an esterification stage 4, wherein iso-butene is selectively transformed with an alkanol 5 to an alkyl-ter.butylether 6; and (c) the remaining dehydrogenation mixture 7 is taken to an oligomerization stage 8, wherein n-butene is catalytically oligomerized. In a preferred embodiment, before field 1 butanes are subjected to dehydrogenation stage 2, they are subjected to hydrogenation conditions in a hydrogenation stage 9, they are subsequently taken to a separation stage 10, which is exposed to an isomerization stage 11, by means of which the n-/iso- rate can be adjusted, according to the desired di-n-butene to methyl-ter.butylether rate, and which thus takes field 1 butane a modified in its n-/iso- rate to the dehydrogenation stage 2. |
