An exhaust system for a cathode ray tube is disclosed. The exhaust system includes a track rail; a pumping cart including vacuum producing means for producing vacuum inside the cathode ray tube, moving along the track rail, a gauge for measuring the vacuum inside the cathode ray tube, and a wireless transmitter for transmitting a signal with respect to the vacuum measured by the gauge; vacuum producing means for producing vacuum inside the cathode ray tube, moving along the track rail; at least a detector for detecting the position of the pumping cart and operating the wireless transmitter; and a controller for receiving signals transmitted from the wireless transmitter; and a controller for receiving signals transmitted from the wireless transmitter to thereby decide whether the desired vacuum in the cathode ray tube is achieved or not. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent instability and noise in a vacuum signal caused by both the electrode line contacting with the brush and the worn brush itself.
