FIELD: railway track repair and maintenance machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has frame movable along railway track, vibration unit connected with frame through drives for vertical displacement, which is made up of vibration source with hydraulic drive connected to hydraulic system which is provided with pressure sensor. Device also has instruments for interaction with rails, measuring system, recording unit and computing unit to which pressure sensor is connected for determining resistance to lateral displacement of railway track. Value of resistance to lateral displacement of track is determined by measuring working pressure of power source which feeds source of vibration. EFFECT: high efficiency. 6 cl, 3 dwgn
