The electronic device has a lock (12) which is actuated by akey (18) when its identification code matches that of the key. Thelock has a cartridge (14) and a part (14A) in which at least onehole (16) for a key (18) is designed. The cartridge includes atleast one facility for electrical connection (39), electronicfacility with control memory for the storage of at least oneidentification code and at least one electrical connectionconnected to it and a facility for unlocking controlled by theelectronic control facility and designed to actuate the unlockingof the lock. The key contains a first facility for electricconnection (19) operating togehter with the electric connectionfacility in the lock when the key is inserted in the appropriatehole (16), first electronic control facility containing a storagememory of at least one indentification code, connected to thefirst facility for electric connection and designed to pass anunlocking command to the lock, and a programming device controlledby a facility for the introduction of a safe code which modifiesthe data contained in each of the electronic control devices ofthe key and the lock. The supply of the electronic device forcontrolling the key and the lock and the facility for unlockingthe cartridge is ensured from a power unit. The invention alsorelates to the lock, the cartridge and the multifunctional keyused in the device. |
