The device comprises a multiplicity of flaps (181 to 18n) mounted pivotably about parallel axes (201 to 20n) and actuated by control means comprising a movable member (30) carrying a multiplicity of cam tracks (481 to 48n) of selected shapes, each of which is capable of receiving a cam (561 to 56n) integral in terms of rotation with a flap.
