FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves intramuscularly administering recombinant interferon preparation like alpha-IFN, gamma-IFN or their mixture at an initial dose causing body temperature of a given patient to jump by 1.9 <EMI ID=0.316 HE=3 WI=3 TI=CHI> 0.5 C, when compared to normal body temperature, in 5.2 <EMI ID=0.317 HE=3 WI=3 TI=CHI> 1.2 h after administering the preparation. Reaferon, Realdiron, Intron A, roferon A are usable as alpha-IFN preparations. Imukin and others are usable as gamma-IFN preparations. The initial dose of mentioned preparations is equal as a rule to 1 million of IU. An IFN preparation is administered once a day in ascending gradient of single doses so that every following dose produces in patient the mentioned pyrogenic response until it vanishes when single dose being equal to 10-50 fold initial dose is administered. Repeated treatment is carried out when indicated, with IFN preparation not used in previous treatment but at least two months after the previous treatment course is accomplished.
