The device includes a detector (1) receiving gamma photons (2) emitted by a human body and comprising a scintillator and photomultipliers. A position calculating circuit (3) processes the analog signal from the photomultipliers to generate a digital signal which encodes the co-ordinates of the photon impact position. The circuit also generates a validation signal transmitted to a control bus (4) while the position signals are transmitted to two bus lines (5,6). An address generating circuit (7) combines the position signals and transmits them to a multiplexer (10) connected to a video memory (12) and an acquisition circuit (13). |
