Fuel pump unit operates from a tank, driven by electric motor (22), with pre-filter (23) for fuel on the suction inlet, and a delivery-side main filter (24). All are in a filter pot (26), its low opening covered by the prefilter, with central, coaxial pump (21) above, and motor (22) in the central chamber (27). Around this are the main filter (24) annulus (28) and top sealing cover (25). The pressure (flow) discharge connection (32) in this cover connects to the pressure line (18). A channel (34) connects annulus (28) to the central chamber (27). Novel features include the pump construction as a separate component from the motor.
