A locking strap (40) for a plug-and-socket device comprises at least one leg (50) with a recess (60), wherein the recess (60) comprises a mouth (62) and a closed end (64) and is adapted to accommodate a section of a journal (20) of the plug-and-socket device, and a securing component (30) is provided which is attached to the leg (50) or attachable to same. The locking strap (40) is further developed in that the blocking section (34) of the securing component (30) extends between the journal (20) and the mouth (62) of the recess (60) in a transverse direction to the recess (60) completely blocking same, or in that the securing component (30) is attached to the leg (50) at both sides of the recess (60).
