Bearing chocks (3) of rolls in a rolling mill stand are locked in place axially by an arrangement in which pairs of locking rails (2) are provided in the side faces of the housing window, forming a gap (SP) in which guide pins (FB) are located. The pins are guided in the respective gaps during the screw-down movements of the bearing chocks. Preferably, the pins have the form of a cylinder with flat section (F) on the side of the circumference facing the gap.
