Sealing profile and manufacturing process

Process for manufacturing two profiles (2,3), especially sealing profiles, each with a first section (4,5) having cut-outs (10,11) for secure location and a second section (6,7) forming the functional part of the profile involves feeding an initial profile with the two appropriately shaped sections (4,6) to a cutter which cuts a continuous line (1) along the first sections (4,5) to form the cut-outs (10,11) and divide the initial profile into two profiles (2,3), each of which has a different sealing function. The profile (2,3) is claimed and has a first section (4,5) forming a fastening edge with cut outs (10,11), the latter being separated from each other along the profile length by bridging pieces which form an interlocking system and face away from the corresponding sealing section (6,7) of each profile (2,3)
