The invention concerns a method for treating a product of human or animal origin for therapeutic use, consisting in the following steps: 1) incubating the product in a solution containing an alcohol, in conditions suitable for degreasing the product, 2) incubating the product resulting from step 1) in an acid solution, in conditions suitable for demineralizing the product, 3) neutralising the demineralized product, 4) desiccating the demineralized product until a residual ratio of free water of not more than 9 % is obtained, 5) effecting an antimicrobian sterilisation of the dehydrated product, the above steps being carried out in conditions such that each of them produces a bactericide and/or virucide and/or stabilising effect on the treated product.
