The present invention relates to a method of preparing a lithium iron phosphate active material by using a relatively inexpensive starting material, the method including the following steps: synthesizing FePO_4 with a starting material of Fe(NO_3)_3; and ball milling the FePO_4 with a lithium source material to synthesize LiFePO_4. The present invention has an effect of reducing manufacturing costs of a cathode active material of LiFePO_4 by using a relatively inexpensive starting material of Fe(NO_3)_3. In addition, the present invention synthesizing FePO_4 by using a starting material of Fe(NO_3)_3 and then preparing LiFePO_4 by using FePO_4, thus having an effect of providing an active material with an excellent electrochemical property. |
