<p>A carrier (30) supporting multiple filters (90) is inserted jointly with the filters into an air sampler (10). The carrier (30) includes an indexing structure (80) to ensure correct positioning within the air sampler (10). A memory device (84) physically associated with the carrier stores sample collection data provided by the air sampler (10). The stored data can be read by a read/write station (102) at a lab (100), and transmitted to a processor (108). The processor (108) also receives a weight reading from a communicating balance (110) for each collected sample, and calculates therefrom mass concentration for each sample.</p> |
