The roller bearing for an automotive tensioned pulley or a pulley wheel, has a cage (4) incorporating a radial slit (5). The distance between facing pockets (Tkk) is 1.03 times greater than the distance (Tkw) centre to centre of the facing roller bearings. The roller pockets (3) are formed to act at a tangent in the vicinity (6) of the cage drill hole, and extend in the direction of the cage outer diameter. The cage slit ends incorporate matching notches and recesses (7, 8).
