Improving activity and/or plant compatibility of fungicides

The use of lipo-chito-oligosaccharides of formula (I) for improving the effect of fungicides (A) is new, where (A) are (i) azole derivatives or (ii) inhibitors of the mitochondrial respiration chain at the b/c1 complex stage. R1 = 2-20C alkenyl; R2 = H or N-acetylglucosamine residue of formula (a); n = 0-4. Also claimed is a method for combatting fungi by applying (I) and (A) to their habitat. Compounds (I; n = 0; R2 = H), i.e. compounds (I'), are new.
