The cutter comprises a cutting chamber with a holed, circular cylindrical arched base and through which a blade shaft (15) penetrates. Fixed to the blade shaft are radially extending blades and cutting buttresses (20) tightly adjacent to the blades are non-rotatably fitted on the blade shaft. Two adjacent blades are formed as U-shaped stirrup blades (19) by means of a radially outwardly arranged cross blade (24). The cross blade with slight clearance is arranged along the inner surface (29) of the holed base. The axially adjacent stirrup blades are peripherally displaced on the shaft. Between two stirrup blades a cutting buttress is arranged. Such buttresses are fitted loosely on the shaft and are firmly anchored in the housing base. The stirrup blades cut on both sides and are made in one piece out of band steel.
