Method of charge guidance in two stroke internal combustion engine

The method uses a Schnurle loop flow principle, with charge flow through at least two ports (13-16) on one side of the cylinder jacket for air or air-charge inlet feed. The exhaust gas flows through a similar height port in the lower cylinder volume and which has discharge openings in the opposing cylinder side. The flow inlet port controls the intake period for the cylinder. The flow timing is controlled through the geometrical shape of the transfer ports, the inlet flow direction and-or the port timing.
